Today, November 2, 2013, marks the anniversary
(1,095 days to be exact!)
(1,095 days to be exact!)
of our third year on the adoption wait list.
We are still waiting.
Some days we cry out to God. Some days we sit still before Him.
He is sustaining us. He is the Great Sustainer!
The latest, in our adoption world, is the hopes that our son was actually at the orphanage (Hannah's Hope) run by our agency. We were informed of some kiddos that may be in our age parameters waiting for clearance to be referred. I guess we have been holding on to that little bit of hope for the last several months (as we have been #1 for almost 3 months now). In this wait, it is easy to find the smallest things to cling too. Well, as God would have it, we experienced another life lesson in the midst. I feel like He has removed the last little bit of tangible hope we were holding on to. Those little boys were referred to their forever families (Praise God!) but it wasn't ours. I can almost hear God saying, "just put your hope in Me, ALL of it!"
Waiting on His timing.
Right where He wants us.
